The T-MAXX 3.3 combines the three principles of more engine, more power, and more speed with the over-the-top horsepower that the TRX 3.3 motor is so well known for. Once heralded by RC Car Action Magazine as the “most powerful small block engine” ever developed, the TRX 2.5 has now had to take a back seat to the more powerful (“60% additional horsepower” more powerful, that is) TRX 3.3. This monster is bigger and faster than the 2.5 and affords the driver that sweet combination of increased responsiveness coupled with smooth linear power which delivers those rocket-esque launches off the starting line that we mentioned above. This newer, more powerful motor requires a higher skill level from its driver because it will tax your reflexes to the max with its extreme acceleration and speed.

The heavy duty addition of more horsepower coupled with additional refinements to strengthen the T-MAXX 3.3 makes this a fearless machine even in the hands of the track’s most punishing drivers. The new Revo®-spec driveline is a technological wonder in itself in that it utilizes an over-sized driveshaft that is “super-duty” sealed and sits on Revo® axle carriers. This newer breed of axle carrier features larger rubber sealed bearings as well as pivot balls that are securely sealed for performance that is literally a maintenance-free technology.

The innovative 2-speed forward and reverse operation of the OptiDrive® Electronic Shift Module is contained in a new, compact gearbox. This newer design has combined the efficient compactness of the T-Maxx® platform with the components of the internal transmission that has been performance-proven both on and off the track. The Villain EX is FAST – The Villain EX’s powerful EVX-2 electronic speed control uses a water-cooled version so it can handle the marine climate of R/C boat racing with no problems. The EVX-2 Marine ESC affords the driver the ease of maneuverability with docking operations in both forward and reverse gears while at low speeds. However, just hammer the throttle and watch that EVX-2 Marine ESC takes full advantage of that powerful 14 volts from the two battery packs. That twin Titan® 550 Marine with its fan-cooled motor will take off like a jet off the deck of the carrier Enterprise.

The Villain EX is RELIABLE – Keeping the electronics dry in R/C boating used to be a challenge. That’s not the case anymore; not with the Villain EX’s newly designed radio box. The sealed radio box protects the sensitive electronics from any potential water damage as everything is safely encased — even the steering servo. Easy access is provided along with a positive seal against the rubber gasket because the plastic cover uses a Twist Lock® fastener specifically designed for this purpose.

The Villain EX is SMOOTH – The newly designed “surface-piercing” propellers are engineered very similarly to full-size boat technology in that they can operate efficiently and with all the speed necessary for a rocket-like take off once you put the Villain EX through its paces. Drag-reducing trim tabs have been eliminated and torque roll has been prevented by the counter-rotating technique that the propellers utilize. The driver is afforded ultra-precise steering response by the propellers’ dual-steerable outdrives. The height at which the boat races across the water has been significantly changed and improved by the trim angle of the re-manufactured outdrives.

The Villain EX is STABLE – Flipping boats on water that was anything but a smooth-as-glass consistency has always been a problem with most hydros. In the real world, the choppiness of the water is a direct response of wind blowing across the surface. The Villain EX doesn’t have that problem as it can easily handle choppy water and leave other boats still harbored at the docks. With its 31” deep-V designed hull, the Villain EX can cut through the choppiest marine environment with such ease that it nearly staggers one’s imagination. This boat displays an unsurpassed stability because it has been designed with a lower center of gravity as well as perfect weight balance.

When the REVO 2.5R was introduced, they said that it just couldn’t get any better than this — until they introduced the REVO 3.3 and realized they were wrong. The REVO 3.3 took all of the award-winning innovation of the 2.5R, was given an additional 60% more peak horsepower along with an overall 50% horsepower, and what resulted was a new level of power and speed.

An additional 30mm of chassis length has been added along with increased engine mounting strength and created a tighter suspension by installing progressive 2 rockers. All the upgrades have done nothing short of enhancing the REVO 3.3’s massive power output. Inside the transmission is a wide-ration two-speed shifting system which takes complete advantage of the TRX 3.3 power curve and equates to speeds in excess of 45mph. The REVO 3.3 is not for the faint at heart and was designed for the hardcore racer who loves knowing that this is the ultimate powerful machine on or off the track.

Basically it has come down to three aspects with the REVO 3.3 — MORE engine, MORE power, and MORE speed — it’s just that simple. When the TRX 2.5 was first introduced, it not only set the bar in these three areas, it rewrote the book on them. It was touted as one of the most powerful small block engines that had ever been tested. And now, the TRX 3.3 has added another 60% of peak horsepower. Is it time to once again say that it just doesn’t get any better than this?

The TRX 3.3 motor combines its industry leading smooth, linear power output and increased responsiveness across the RPM range, making this motor one that is designed for driver’s that have the highest level of skill. The power factor is such that only those drivers whose reflexes can handle extreme acceleration and top speeds should attempt handling this motor.

Since the horsepower for the REVO 3.3 and the TRX 3.3 motor were increased that 60% mentioned above, it became necessary to equip the car with a longer wheelbase that would provide additional support around the engine mounts. Equipped with the progressive 2 suspension rockers, this system provides the stability that foot-to-the-floor acceleration demands when you’re on the track. And even if putting the REVO 3.3 on a track isn’t what you are planning, rest assured that you can power it full throttle across the harshest terrain out there.

Additionally, now you have the convenience of complete push-button electric starting and the luxury of true one-handed operation with the new EZ-Start® system, which is the most reliable and safest way to start the engine. All it takes is the push of a button, and you’re off and racing with the EZ-Start® system and the Smart Start™ technology that puts it at the top of its class. The new Smart Start™ technology automatically senses and diagnoses potential problems, as well as monitors the more critical starting functions so that engine start-up is relatively trouble free every time.

When RC Car Action Magazine labeled as the best performing monster truck ever, they undoubtedly knew what they were talking about. The Titan 550 motor is a definite upgrade from the 540 with its 30% longer armatures and it is also fan-cooled. It has a more durable drive train and can pretty much handle any challenge.

The shaft drive system came from the T-MAXX, and the proven system allows power to be transferred to all four wheels equally. The fantastic WideMaxx™ 4-wheel independent suspension allows you to take the E-MAXX over just about any terrain you can throw it, and do it effortlessly in the process. The suspension is equipped with 8 oil-filled shocks (two at each wheel), has 10 shock-mounting positions, and also has an adjustable front caster angle, front and rear camber angles, and front and rear toe.
